FAQ'S
What is the difference between inside mounted and outside mounted shades and blinds?
A: Inside mounted window treatments are attached within the window sill to provide a flush profile. Outside mounted treatments are hung so that they extend beyond the plane of the window or door.
What forms of payment do
you accept?
A: We accept MasterCard and VISA.
What is the difference between opaque, room-darkening, and blackout shades?
A: Opacity refers to the level of privacy provided by a window shade whereas the term room darkening, and blackout refer to the amount of light the shade allows to pass through or around the shade. Although the terms, room darkening, and blackout are often used interchangeably there is a difference between the two types of shades. Even the heaviest grade room darkening shade will allow some light to be passed around the edges of the shade. True, blackout shades incorporate special trim and hardware to prevent light from seeping around the edges of the shade.
What is the difference between shades and blinds?
A: Typically, blinds are window coverings that incorporate the use of slats, louvers or vanes that are rotated to control the amount of light that passes through them. Shades are typically constructed of single fabric sections or panels that are moved along a rod to achieve the same effect.
What are shadings?
A: Window shadings are a relatively new type of window treatment that combines the aesthetic beauty and functionality of shades and blinds. They employ sheer fabric over rigid louvers that can be rotated, raised or lowered and produce a soft, ambient light effect.
